Richard Dean "Ricky" Yelverton, prominent Mobile attorney, age 60, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 after a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Dean Yelverton. Mr. Yelverton was a graduate of the University of Alabama. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He had been a practicing attorney in the Mobile area for over 35 years and was an active member of the Alabama Bar Association. Ricky was a member of the Red Elephant Club. He is survived by his mother, Mary Ruth Walker, sisters, Sherrie Wellner (Tom), Brenda Blackman and brother, Tim Yelverton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and special friends. A celebration of Ricky's life will be held in the Rue Dauphine Parlor at Radney Funeral Home on Saturday, January 9, 2016 beginning at 1:00 p.m.
