Richard “Ricky” White Jr. is more alive today than he has ever been. He passed from this life to his heavenly home with Jesus on December 5, 2022, at the age of 63, surrounded by his family. Ricky was a lovingly, faithful husband, father, brother and friend.
Ricky was member of Moffett Road Baptist Church with whom he joyfully worshipped and served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Ricky worked for Mobile Water Board for 25 years and retired as a Treatment Plant Operator. During his retirement, Ricky took up several interests like hunting, fishing, golfing, watching Alabama football and cooking. During his latter years, he was often mistaken for Santa and enjoyed the delighted stares from small children.
Ricky is survived by his wife of 34 years, Teresa White and three children, Greg Roebuck (Susan), Victor Roebuck, and Somer Shamp (Joshua), seven grandchildren, Andrew Sullivan (Kayla), Austin Sullivan (Connie), Garret Roebuck (Sarah), Heather Lewis, Elijah Roebuck, Peyton Shamp and Cruz Shamp, and ten great-grandchildren: Kensley, Anderson, Hadley, Cooper, Peyton, Clara, Ret, Parker Joy, Kathryn and Emory. His siblings, sisters Marsha Obert, Glenda Hinton (Donald) and brother Benny White, along with many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death and reunited in Heaven with his Father and Mother, Richard White Sr. and Mildred White, and his sister, Brenda White.
A visitation for Ricky will be held Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin St, Mobile, AL 36606. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 12th, at 1:00pm at Radney Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6040 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619.
