Rheba M. Goren

Rheba M. Goren – a 93 year-old native of Eva, AL and longtime resident of Mobile passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Mrs. Goren worked as a secretary at Brookley Air Force Base during World War II. Following the war, she became a librarian for the Mobile County Public School System retiring after many years of service. She was longstanding member of Spring Hill Baptist Church and was a member of the Mobile Garden Club. A wonderful mother and doting grandmother, she will always be remembered for her sweet and caring disposition and willingness to help others in any way needed.

Mrs. Goren was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Louis Goren. She is survived by her son, Steven Goren (Cristina Gavrilita); grandson, Trevor Goren, brother, Bill Martin, Jr.; nieces and nephew, Cathy Shallal (Mike), Sherry Macias (Tony), and Bill Martin, III (Diane); many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Monday, July 11, 2016, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 10, from 3-5 p.m. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery West.
