After graduating Springhill College as an Art History and Business major, she began a career at Delaney Properties and was active in South of the Salt Line drama group. Her most recent position was with the Mobile County School Board as a library media specialist at Breitling Elementary School. She was loved and will be missed by her students and friends. Her hobbies were art, music, decorating, antiquing and she served as an active member of the Mobile chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Most of all, she was a wonderful and loving wife and mother, devoted to her home and family above all else.
Paula is preceded in death by her father, David Blankenship of Decatur, Alabama; her maternal grandparents, Joel Sandlin and Lily Mae Fletcher Sandlin; paternal grandparents Ollie Blankenship and Olivia Hudson Blankenship all of Hartselle, Alabama.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 22 years, Robert Lee Poole, Jr; her children, Robert Lee Poole III (Bo), age 14 and Margaret Lily Poole (Maggie), age 21; her mother and step-father, Carol Sandlin Warnick and Larry Warnick of Marion, Alabama; her sister, Kimberly Geiberras (Kenneth) of Greater Western Victoria, Australia; two nieces, Haley and Kate Geiberras and a nephew, Matthew Geiberras. and her step-children Brian Poole (Kelly), Andrew Poole (Jenny) and Tiffany Poole along with their children, all of Mobile, Alabama.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 3pm until 5pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens, Three Notch and Carol Plantation Road, Tillman's Corner, Alabama. Service will be at 1pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Chapel conducted by Pastor David Walley of Union Baptist Church, Grand Bay, Alabama.
