Paul Terence Kiernan, age 59, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015. Paul was born in London, England on October 7, 1956. As a child he attended Catholic school and was an altar boy. He later went to London City College where he earned his degree in culinary arts. Paul was a chef for 40 years and had the honor of serving as chef for a garden party at Buckingham Palace. Paul came to the United States in 1999 and was Executive Sous Chef on NCL Cruise Lines. He will be fondly remembered by everyone who knew him as a kind and gentle man. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Terence Peter Kiernan and Kathleen O’Brien Kiernan, both of Ireland, and one sister, Ann Kiernan of London, England. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Cindy George Kiernan of Mobile, Alabama. One daughter, Laura Kiernan Collier and one grandson, Leo Collier, both of London, England, two sisters, Vivian Kiernan and Sylvia Brown, both of London, England and two step-sons, Joshua A. Woodard of St. Louis, Missouri and Jacob E. Woodard of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Visitation will be at Radney Funeral Home on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until service time of 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Alabama/Florida Panhandle Chapter, One Perimeter Park Station South, Ste. 100 North, Birmingham, AL 35243 or by visiting their website at www.alz.org/ALFL.
