Palmer Stanley Young

Mr. Palmer S. Young, age 79, longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Bessie Johnston Young and son, Joseph Young. Mr. Young retired after 33 years of service as a mechanic with the City of Mobile. He was a member of Sage Avenue Baptist Church, a Mason and Shriner. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a man who loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Mr. Young is survived by his wife, Abbie “Irene” Young, and son, Kenneth Young (Jan). He is also survived by his sisters, Joyce Sasser, Myrtis O’Neal (Jerry), Judy Lord, grandchildren, Kenneth Cody Young (Brittney), Stacey Rivers (Ed), great-grandchildren, Jayden Rivers, Bentlee Young and Brady Young and special niece, Patricia “Pretty” Rivers (Chip). Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Radney Funeral Home-Mobile, Mobile, AL.
