Opal W Scarbrough Bordelon

Opal Wanease Scarbrough Bordelon was born January 15, 1921 to Barney and Mamie Scarbrough in Robeline, LA. She was a resident of Mobile, AL for over 73 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. (Ed) Bordelon, her parents and infant daughter, Patricia Ann, brothers, Warren and Richard Scarbrough and grandson Michael Rutledge. She was also preceded in death by 2 great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her children Gene (Rose) Rutledge, Alice (Harry) Welker, Jan (Frank) Alardo, Marie (Gregory) Sweeney, Joy (Johnny) Burge and Jeanette (Philip) Calametti. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Bordelon was a faithful servant of the Lord all of her life. She loved traveling and has eagerly embraced this, her final journey.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 3 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will start at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
