He is survived by his wife of 32 years of marriage, Leila Janovski; two daughters, Nadezda N. Janovski and Ekaterina N. Janovski (Matthew Serda); two sons, Nicky and Andrew Janovski from Chicago, IL; one grandchild, Jacqueline H. Clough and many special friends.
Dr. Janovski graduated medical school from Leopold Frances University, Innsbruck, Austria. He was a Commander of the United States Navy Medical Corps, Board certified in Anatomic and Staff Pathology, Obstetricians and Gynecologists (England), and Flight Surgeon USNS Pensacola, Florida. Dr. Janovski was in charge and founder of the Pathology Laboratory, Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission, Nagasaki, Japan, then at Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. He was a Founder Fellow of International Society for the Study of Vulvar Disease (England). Dr. Janovski was also a member of many medical professional organizations. He was retired from the United States Navy and a Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War. Dr. Janovski practiced at his office, Longevity Medical Clinic: General Practice, Aviation Medical Examiner Class I, II, III, Disability Evaluation Physician, Addiction Medicine, and Obesity and Eating Disorders. "You are deeply missed and will forever be in our hearts."
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 22, 2010, at 5:00 p.m. from the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery will full military honors.
