Mr. Nick Chris Andrews – son of Chris and Catherine Andrews, one of nine children, born December 28, 1920 and passed away on Monday, March 29, 2010 at his residence. A noted musician, composer, teacher, decorated veteran and beloved husband and father, Mr. Andrews is survived by his wife, Goldie Andrews; his children, John, Gloria, Joan, Joyce and Edna; and his eleven grandchildren, Melvin, Betty, Shawnda, Donna, Rex, Kevin, Lynn, Deborah, Dale, Carl, and Jenny. Mr. Andrew’s career in music includes published works in accordion, extensive arrangements for orchestra, and four decades of teaching. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, completed 47 combat missions as a tail gunner and radio operator, and received the Presidential Unit Citation, 10 Air Medals, and 4 Battle Stars. Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, April 1, 2010 from the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. on Thursday at the church. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
