Michael Van Heuvel Walsh

Mr. Walsh retired after 42 years as a stevedoring agent starting at Walsh Stevedoring in Mobile. He was a U.S. Air Force Reserves veteran and was a member of Our Savior Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Van Heuvel Walsh and Richard Bernard Walsh; and his sister, Margaret Walsh Hancock.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Beach Walsh; three sons, Michael V. (Amy Forsyth) Walsh, Jr., Daniel R. (Farrar Brown) Walsh and J. Bryan (Amy Nelson) Walsh; one sister, Grace Walsh Carroll; one brother, M. James Walsh; eight grandchildren, D. Ethan Walsh, D. Bryson Walsh, Hailey S. Walsh, Connor M. Walsh, Sara E. Walsh, Allie M. Walsh, Emma C. Walsh, and Lacy M. Walsh; other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Savior Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
