Mr. Michael Shaun Payne, age 45, passed away at his home on Friday, June 22, 2018. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, William E. Payne, Herman Anthony and Marvin Rosco Courtney. Michael graduated from John Shaw High School and Mobile College. He worked for many years in the Mobile area as a Registered Nurse. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, was a talented artist and enjoyed wood burning. Michael is survived by his parents, Bill Payne (Jaren) and Alice Courtney (Mark). He is also survived by his sister, Danielle Gardner (James), half-sister, Amanda Tice, grandmothers, Christine Lacy, Shirley Ann Robinson, Jeane Courtney, nieces, Alyx, Brooke and Sarah Gardner, aunt, Betty A. Knott, cousin, Alyssa Knott and special friend and companion, Kristy Martin. A memorial visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the local Humane Society or the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
