Martha Gunter Smith – a native of Greenville, MS and former longtime resident of Mobile and Baldwin County, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016. Martha worked as a teller for Merchants National Bank where she met and married Hugh Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Gunter and Evie D. Gunter. She is survived by her daughters, Leigh McNider (Jeff), and Lynne (Paul Burnett); four grandchildren, Reid, Merritt, Benton and Evie Gambino; and other relatives.
The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home on Thursday, February 4 2016 from 12-2 p.m. A private graveside service will be held by the family.
The family would like to give special thanks to Crown Health Care for the care they’ve given to Martha over the past few years and also to Southern Care Hospice for the care she’s received over the past few weeks.
