Marion attended Gorgas Elementary in Toulminville, Alabama. While in high school at Murphy, she worked at Goldsteins Jewelry store while in the Diversified Occupation program.
After graduation, she followed in her sister's footsteps of being a Registered Nurse. After graduating in 1952 from City Hospital School of Nursing, Marion worked as a Registered Nurse in the Mobile Area for many years. For many years after retirement, she was a proud member of the Retired Nurses Association.
She loved caring for plants and flowers in her yard. Throughout the years, she loved her animals and they loved her too. Marion also loved boating and traveling. As a family, we were always traveling to awesome places making many great memories.
Her many nieces and nephews were like her own children and they all knew that as well. She instilled the love of family in us all! Marion was a very graceful lady with more compassion and empathy than anyone can ever imagine.
We adored how she loved dressing up and going square dancing and Mardi Gras balls with my father. They were a very handsome couple indeed!
Most of all, Marion adored her family and taught us life values that we will carry in our hearts for the rest of our lives.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. for family then 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. for friends. Graveside services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery beginning at 11:00 a.m.
