Marion Gele Turner

Mr. Marion G. “Jake” Turner, age 90, born in Richton, Mississippi and a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011. He was a member of Myers Memorial Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Jessie C. Turner; children, Marion (George) Murr, Kenneth (Vivian) Turner, Sandra (Leo) Crain, Hollis (David) Guthrie; sister, Joyce Whitworth; nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; one great grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday 12 Noon until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
