Marie Mitternight DeVaney

Mrs. Marie Mitternight DeVaney – a native and resident of Mobile, AL died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. DeVaney was preceded in death by her parents, Frank G. and Adele Green Mitternight, Sr.; two sisters, Frances (Harry) McDonald and Magdalene (Ormand) Thompson; and two grandsons, James O. DeVaney, IV and David Christopher DeVaney. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James O. DeVaney, Jr.; one son, James O. (Margaret) DeVaney, III, M.D.; one sister, Martha (Jerry) Moore; one brother, Frank G. (Eunice) Mitternight, Jr.; two grandsons, George Michael (Carolina) DeVaney and Martin Mitternight DeVaney; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 P.M. on Friday, August 3, 2012 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. on Friday in the Sarto Center at St. Pius X Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Zoghby-DeVaney Scholarship Fund at Spring Hill College or the American Cancer Society. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
