Margaret Elizabeth Wacker

Margaret Elizabeth Wacker, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL died on Friday, September 24, 2010 at a local nursing facility at the age of 76. Margaret attended Murphy High School and began her secretarial career in 1951 at McGowin & Lyons Hardware & Supply Company where she worked for many years. She then moved to International Paper Company and worked as a secretary in the Finishing and Shipping Department until her retirement in 1996. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church and was active in the Golden Age Club, Riese Club and the American Business Women’s Association. She was preceded in death by her parents John Conrad and Mary Louise Wacker. Survivors include her sister Carolyn (Felix) Vereen of Mobile; two nephews, J. Pratt Vereen of Atlanta, GA and Marc (Kim) of Bastrop, LA and one great nephew Vincent Vereen of Bastrop, LA. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 1:30 PM from Little Flower Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Little Flower Catholic Church in Mobile, AL. Funeral arrangements by Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street.
