Margaret Carolyn Jones Pierce

May 11, 1937 - October 17, 2016 Ms. Carolyn Jones Pierce, a native of Goodwater, AL and a long time, resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 with her family by her side. Ms. Pierce was a graduate of Murphy High School and Auburn University. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She had a quality of making everyone she met feel special, and was beloved by all who knew her. Ms. Pierce was preceded in death by her daughter Suzanne Pierce, parents Bernice and Lemuel Jones and sister, Marion Jones. She is survived by her son, Robert D. (Jackie) Pierce Jr., daughter Jennifer Pierce (Wayne) Dean II, five grandchildren Sheldon Mills, Harris Mills, Andrew Mills, Steedly Dean, and Pierce Dean. The family would like to thank all of her wonderful caregivers who she considered her extended family. Funeral services will be held from the graveside on Thursday October 20, 2016 at 11:00AM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 until 10:45AM. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
