Margaret Sue was a graduate of Murphy High School and Randolph-Macon Woman’s College. She was a lifelong member of Government Street Presbyterian Church, where she was active in service in many ways. She delivered Meals on Wheels for over twenty-five years and served at Loaves and Fishes until weeks prior to her passing. Margaret Sue had many circles of friends spread over the generations whose company she enjoyed, particularly at the bridge table. She brought a smile to everyone who knew her. Nan loved all social gatherings and hated to miss a party, but perhaps she was happiest spending weekends with family and friends at Point Clear and at the Gulf. She was loved and will be missed by her family and many friends.
The family is deeply appreciative of her physician, Thomas C. McGee, M.D., and her care givers, Annie Mae Saunders, Lula Hillery, and Mary Gray.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Government Street Presbyterian Church, 300 Government Street, Mobile, Alabama 36602, or Friends of the Magnolia Cemetery, Post Office Box 6383, Mobile, Alabama, 36660.
Interment will be Friday, August 2, at 9:00 am at Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be at Government Street Presbyterian Church at 10:00 am followed by a Service of Witness to the Resurrection at 11:00 am.
