

Marcia Elaine McCarthy, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2024, at the age of 72. She was born on November 30, 1951, to John “Bubba” and Betty McCarthy in Mobile, Alabama.
Marcia was a kind-hearted and gentle soul who touched the lives of all who knew her. She faced life with grace and resilience, inspiring those around her with her unwavering strength and compassion.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, John “Bubba” and Betty Walley McCarthy, her dear nephew, Michael McCarthy Jr., and niece Rebecca Lynne Byrd.
Marcia is survived by her beautiful aunt Mary “Sister” Lindamood, devoted brother, Michael McCarthy Sr., and her caring sisters, Jan Byrd, Sharon Andrews (Dale), and Patricia Lyle. She will be deeply missed by her cherished nieces and nephews: Roger Andrews (Nicole), Jennifer Bolton (Bobby), Jonathan McCarthy (Kate), Joseph Byrd (Heather), Tyler Andrews, and great nieces and nephews Troy Andrews (Sydnee), Trevor Andrews, Lexi Bolton, Masyn Rogers, Anna McCarthy, Madisyn Byrd, and Jamesyn Byrd, along with many family members, close friends, and loved ones.
Marcia dedicated four decades of her life to her career as Controller and Executive Assistant at Radcliff Marine, where she made significant contributions to the company's success. Her professionalism and expertise were widely recognized, and she forged a close working relationship with Greer Radcliff.
Marcia's presence brought joy and warmth to every gathering, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Marcia's life will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church or USA Children’s and Women’s NICU (650 Clinic Drive TRP3 Suite 1500 Mobile, AL 36688), in honor of Marcia's generous spirit and dedication to loving children beyond family.
May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and cherished by all who were blessed to have her in their lives.
