Louis Leon Harbison

Mr. Louis Harbison, age 73. A native of Bayou La Batre, AL and a resident of Grand Isle, LA died on Thursday, December 15, 2011, he worked as a commercial fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius & Ethel Harbison; three brothers, Vernon, Marion and Sylvester Harbison; half brother, Jiggs Harbison and half sister, Leona Mund. He is survived by his children, Russell (Richelle) Harbison, Kelly Grable; two grandchildren, Brandon Grable, Sara Harbison (Stephen) Butler; mother of his children, Angela Harbison; loving companion & friend, Beverly Martin; brother, Hudson (Emily) Harbison, many nieces, nephews, friends in the Bayou, loving and caring friends of Grand Isle, LA. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM from San Souci Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 5 to 9 PM at the church. Interment will be in Odd Fellow Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Chris Camardelle, Keith Barthe, Brian Annison, Walton Kraver, Ricky Harbison, Rufus Hall; honorary pallbearers will be Michael Ladnier, Leon Ladnier and Ray Harbison. Louis was a true and loving friend to all who knew him, he will always be remembered for saying “Everything was made for love”.
