Mr. Lloyd Thomas Formby, a native of Mobile, passed away on August 28, 2023. Born September 6, 1954 to his parents, James Oscar Formby and Hertha Formby, Lloyd was one of three children. He is predeceased by brother, James O. Formby Jr. Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Ms. Rebekah Formby, of Mobile, his sister, Wilma Tyler (John), and many beloved nieces, nephews, grandniece and nephews, and 2 great grandnibblings.
Lloyd was dedicated to the community of Mobile where he served with proud distinction until his retirement in impacting children and their families to improve their lives. In addition to his proud career, a part of Lloyd’s legacy is his spirit of volunteerism, which extended to multiple organizations, all for the benefit of serving the Mobile community.
In life, Lloyd took great joy in many pursuits and passions, including a love for music and classic films, as well as the culinary arts, including baking.
There will be a celebration of his life Saturday September 2nd from 2-4pm at Radney’s Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that contributions be made in Lloyd’s memory to either the Dumas-Westley Community Center, or, Fostering Together Gulf Coast.
