Mrs. Lillie Elena Golemon Knight, age 94, born August 10, 1920 and longtime resident of Mobile County, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at a local hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, Madison Y. Golemon and Lillie Penton Golemon Marvin, husband James Knight, two sons, Anthony and Maurice Knight, daughter, Frances Vaughn Boren, two grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mrs. Knight is survived by her children, Douglas (Linda) Knight, Madison (Pat) Knight, Martha (Ronnie) Collier and Memory (Eddie) Carpenter. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, sixteen great-great grandchildren, other family and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, July 31, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Oddfellow Hall, Bayou LeBatre. Funeral services will begin at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in Oddfellow Cemetery.
