Mrs. Laverne Alice Tisdale Sumrall – a native of Ellisville, MS and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Monday, August 16, 2010 in a local hospital. Mrs. Sumrall was a member of Sage Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry R. Sumrall; her parents, Elbert Tisdale and Evie Ellzey Tisdale; and one sister, Leatrice Bustin. She is survived by two sons, Richard Sumrall and David (Kathleen) Sumrall; two sisters, Faye Sumrall and Pellie Hancock; one brother, Mulford Tisdale; one grandson, Michael Sumrall; two nieces, Van Morgan and Sue Watson; other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, August 18, 2010 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 12 Noon on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
