Kenneth Ray Boatman, Sr., 60, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 in Mobile, Alabama. Mr. Boatman was a family man – his whole world revolved around his wife, children and grandchildren. If there was an event his grandchildren were involved in, he was there. He spent his time going to games that his son coached. Kenny loved Auburn football, fishing, and boating. He loved the beach but hated the sand. He looked forward to his “Friday Night Supper Club” with neighbors. Kenny was a Saints and Braves fan. He was a member of Dayspring Baptist Church for 16 years. Kenny was a wonderful man, and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Mary and Harry Harrison; father, Roy Boatman; brother, Wayne Boatman; and granddaughter, Hazel Boatman.
Kenny is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 41 years, Joyce Boatman; son, Ken (Audrey) Boatman; daughter, Kaitlin (Will) Addison; step-mother, Barbara Chase; grandchildren, Kennadie, Shelton, and Chandler Boatman, and Ella Kay Addison; sister-in-law, Valerie Boatman; brother, Frankie (Ginny) Boatman; sisters, Marsha Boatman, Dena (Mike) Wright, Kim (Wayne) Spear, Melanie Pace, and Cheryl (Clint) Travis; as well as nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.
