Jonathon enjoyed motorcycles and fast cars and was active with several motorcycle groups in the area. He also loved dogs, Mardi Gras, and fishing. He loved planes and had earned his single engine pilot’s license. He looked up to his maternal grandfather, JC McLeod, who flew B-24s in WWII and both of Jonathon’s parents are veterans of the US Air Force. He had several jobs over the years, including working for Downtown Air Center, Pyro Fireworks, but mostly worked as an electrician. He also opened and ran a successful aircraft, RV, boat, and automotive detailing company. He was also a volunteer firefighter with Seven Hills Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ryan Rough; grandmother, Janet Christner; and grandfather, JC McLeod. He is survived by his fiancé, Natasha Latour, and her six-year-old daughter, Olivette Latour; mother, April Iris McLeod (Gabriel Rel); father, James Michael Rough (CeCe Rough); sister, Lacey Rough; brother, David Rough; grandfather, George Christner; a step-sisters and step-brothers, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
People wishing to attend services for Jonathon should meet at the Grand Bay Community Center, 11610 Hwy 90, Grand Bay, Al 36541 at noon, Saturday, 13 April 2024. From there a motorcycle escort will precede other vehicles to the First United Methodist Church in Grand Bay, on Potter Tract Rd.
