John Anthony Bosco

Mr. John Anthony Bosco, age 92, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Goldie Bosco, parents, Dominic and Elizabeth S. Bosco and brother, Edmond Del Papa. Mr. Bosco moved to Mobile in 1947 and worked for over 20 years as a jeweler with Ross Jewelers. He became owner/operator of his business John Bosco Jeweler, in 1969 and at the age of 90 was the oldest bench jeweler in the southeast until his retirement at the time of his wife’s passing in 2014. Mr. Bosco served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during World War II and was selected for the Honor Flight of 2013. Mr. Bosco is survived by his sons; Richard Bosco and Anthony Bosco, sisters, Theresa Jacobo and Clara DeVito. He is also survived by his three grandchildren; Ashley Bosco Jenkins (Kevin), Daniel “Andrew” Bosco, Madeline Bosco and numerous other family members and friends. An informal celebration of life will be held at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-mobile.com.
