She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth in her children, Vickie Domingue, Donald Ray Overstreet, and Freddie Hoagland; her nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Joanne also touched countless lives during her time at Knollwood, where she was deeply loved by the friends and staff who will greatly miss her presence.
A woman of incredible spirit and an unapologetically kind heart, Joanne found joy in the simple yet meaningful parts of life—sharing meals with family, tending to gardens, and styling hair as a talented hairdresser for much of her life. She had a bold personality and a heart full of love, never hesitating to speak her mind or offer her support to those in need.
Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace in Heaven, reunited with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Though she will be deeply missed, her vibrant spirit and loving nature will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 10:00 am at Valhalla Memorial Gardens, Eight Mile, Alabama.
