Mrs. Joan Woodham Story - age 82; a native and longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 in a local hospital after a long health battle. She loved traveling with her family, her favorite destinations were Gatlinburg and the beach.
Joan was preceded in death by her mother and father, Alvin and Harriette Woodham and her sisters Jean Wilhelm and Debbie McMillan. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles Story; her daughter Karen Mohler (Marvin) and son Chris Story (Lisa); two granddaughters Morgan Mohler and Megan Cooper (Bryan); great-grandson Tucker Cooper; her sisters Patricia Grimes (David) and Kathy Fleming (Terry); and numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Pine Crest Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Pine Crest Funeral Home with interment to follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
