He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Ursula B. Vitello, his only child, Darren C. Vitello 18 years old, sister Connie Hainline, and parents Frank and Frances Vitello.
He is survived by his brother Frank Vitello and wife Lisa Vitello, of Fairhope, AL., nieces Stacie Douglass, (husband Dr. Kendall Douglass of Fairhope,) Kristen Dunning, (husband James F. Dunning IV of Daphne, AL.) and nephew Hunter Darren Vitello, (wife Karly of Birmingham, AL.). Jesse moved from Spring Hill, FL upon the passing of his wife to be with family in Fairhope, AL.
Jesse and Ursula lived in Germany and traveled around Europe before returning to the states for Jesse to complete college and law school attaining a Masters Degree and Juris Doctor degree. He went on to teach criminal law to law enforcement personnel and students. He joined the U.S. Dept. of Treasury as a lawyer in Customs Enforcement and transferred later to the Department of Commerce in Washington, DC, where he was in charge of over 50 attorneys in the legal department.
Jesse retired after 33 years in government service as a GS15, residing in Sterling and Herndon, VA and retired to Florida.
Jesse loved the Lord Jesus he was active in the Lutheran church in VA and Spring Hill, FL. He will be sorely missed by his family.
He had a kind heart and knew how to make one feel special.
