Jerry Ray Smith

Jerry Ray Smith, 48, of Mobile, Ala., passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016, after his ten-year, courageous and inspirational battle with cancer. His love for God, his family and his friends was a testament of true love. Jerry was rock solid inside and out. He was someone you could trust. Jerry was steady and determined. He was strong.

Jerry was a long time employee of Geotechnical Engineering and Testing.

Survived by his wife of 25 years, Tracey Fant Smith; son, Jason Hunter Smith; and a special little girl, Camryn Nicole Miller, Jerry leaves to celebrate his life many family members and friends including his sister, Jamie (Mike) Taylor; brothers, Derek (Allison) Smith and Brian Smith; nieces, Amy Smith, Dailynn Smith and Mady-Cate Smith; and father, James Hughie Smith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Carol Smith.

Jerry's family will receive friends on Sun. Sept. 25, 2016 from 5-8pm at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile Al. Services to celebrate his life will be Mon. Sept. 26, 2016, 2pm at Orchard Assembly, 10245 Howells Ferry Rd
