Jennifer “Jenny” Cook was ushered into heaven Sunday, November 18, 2018 to begin her eternal journey with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She professed her faith in Christ as a young girl and lived a life that exemplified Christian values. She was very kind, loving and generous, putting the needs of others before her own.
She was one of five sisters known to many as the Cook girls. Jenny loved spending time with her close-knit family, especially during the Holidays.
Jenny was a Marine Biologist and worked many years as an educator at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. She was passionate about her job and was blessed to enjoy going to work. Every day brought challenges, adventures and opportunities to have a positive influence in her students lives and the environment. She was honored to be named the National Marine Science Educator of the year for 2018.
She is preceded in death by her parents Byron E. and Jacquelyn Davis Cook. She is survived by her sisters Ann Cook (Dr. Richard Campeau), Amy (Michael) Bridges, Trudy (Tom) Jones, and Mary Ellen (Trey) Meynig and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, November 19th at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street from 5-8 pm. The funeral will be Tuesday, November 20th at 10 am at Cottage Hill Baptist Church in the Chapel. Internment will be at Magnolia Cemetery.
