Jeanette M Roberts

Jeanette McDonald Roberts, age 78, a native of Mobile, AL., passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 surrounded by her family, Dr. Blake Newsome, senior pastor of Dauphin Way Baptist Church, and her beloved physician Dr. Desiree Pearsoll . She graduated from Murphy High School and attended the University of Montevallo. She grew up dancing her entire life and went on to teach ballet for several years. She was a member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church her entire life where she served as a Sunday School teacher, Children’s Coordinator and associate director of an adult Sunday School department alongside her husband where they were recognized for 53 years of service.She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence Arno and Virginia McDonald. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jack B. Roberts, daughters Chandley Campbell (Doyle), Jacqueline Clarke (Jim), Tina Bowen (Ron), son Bart Roberts (Tonya) and nine grandchildren; Trevor Clarke, Mandy Baxley, Avery Bowen Copeland-Clarke , Colin Clarke, Devin Clarke, Peyton Bowen, Ian Bowen, Judd Roberts and Jack Roberts and one great-granddaughter, Abigail Copeland-Clarke. Her life revolved around her family and her church, and that’s when she was the happiest. Funeral arrangements by Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Visitation will be held Friday, September 8, at Dauphin Way Baptist Church at 10 am until 12 noon. Funeral services will follow the visitation. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
