Jane Baker Holmes

Jane graduated from Murphy High School, and she attended Auburn University as a pharmacy major. She was a devoted mother and wife.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, John Hiatt Baker and Lura Merriman Baker, her husband of 72 years, Wesley S. Holmes, Jr., and her children, Judith H. Lee and Norman E. Holmes. She is survived by her son, David W. Holmes (Connie Holmes), her daughter, Patricia H. Bailey, and her son-in-law Carl E. Lee, Jr., as well as six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Jane loved and cared for her family, and she was fervent in her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She regularly attended Spring Hill Baptist Church.

The graveside service will be at Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Alabama 36605, on April 24, 2025, at 11am. A visitation before the service will begin at 10am. The family will be there to welcome friends and relatives.
