Jane Lois Stanley Garner, 86, of Mobile, Alabama, died on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Mobile Infirmary after a brief and sudden illness. She was born September 21, 1934 in Silas, Alabama. She graduated from Murphy High School in 1951 and attended classes at Judson College and Livingston University. She married Jim in 1956 and for 40 years they created a wonderful life, working side-by-side, active in their church and raising a family. Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her devotion to her family and strong faith in God leaves a lasting legacy for all who knew her. She was an active and long-time member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church.
Jane is preceded in death by her husband, James H. Garner (Jim) and her son, James Stephen Garner (Jimmy); parents Mabron and Ivy Stanley; two brothers James F. Stanley and Edward T. Stanley; two sisters Betty S. Thomas and Helen S. Bryars.
Jane is survived by her two daughters, Lynne G. Winfield (Greg) and Lesa G. Moore (Jay); one daughter-in-law, Lynn Garner; four granddaughters, Lindsey M. Dunbar (Stuart), Stephanie G. Snell (Taylor), Mary Katelin Summerlin (Trey), and Olivia Moore; one grandson, Logan Moore (Victoria); one great grandson, Blake River Dunbar; two great granddaughters, Stella Kate Summerlin and Charlotte James Snell; one sister, Bonnie Jones (Wrenford); one step-granddaughter Brittany Roberts (Dan); and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 in the worship center at Cottage Hill Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 12 – 2 pm with a celebration of life service at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Loxley, AL.
