James Fritz Santa Cruz, Jr. a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, died on Friday. He was retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers, a member of First Baptist Church of Timan’s Corner, Guy T. Smith Lodge #883 F&AM, and was a member of AA for 48 years. Mr. Santa Cruz was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Fay Santa Cruz and brothers, Tony and Archie Santa Cruz. He is survived by four children, Tony (Marcy) Santa Cruz, Steve (Mary) Santa Cruz, Sue Ramsey and Elizabeth Smith; two brothers, John Santa Cruz and Robert Santa Cruz; two sisters, Loraine Taylor and Daisy Deese; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 10 AM. Visitation will start at 8 AM Monday. Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens
