Mr. Crump served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. HE attended the University of Nebraska and was an honor graduate of the University of Arkansas. HE was employed by the International Paper Company for 35 years in an engineering capacity.
Mr. Crump served in the Mobile Police Reserve for 15 years, and with the Sonshine Builders and Providence Hospital Auxiliary after retirement. He was an active member and Life Deacon of the Spring Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Lyra Crump; daughter, Anna Crump Cuevas; wife, Marjorie Witherington Crump; sister and brother-in–law, Molly and Donald Grimm; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Jesse and Elizabeth Crump.
Surviving are his sons, James (Denise) Crump, Jr. of Albertville, Alabama and David (Patti) Crump of Eva, Alabama. And many grand and great grandchildren; special angel Karen Smith-Colicchio and her husband Dr. Mark Colicchio.
