Henry Lee Moncrief III, a native Mobilian passed away on August 14. He was the son of the late Jane & Henry Moncrief. He graduated from Murphy H. S. and attended Auburn University. He was retired from Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. Process Automation Systems division as a Sr. Account Manager in the Chemical Industry. He had been a very active member of the Mobile Instrument Society of America and had also served as their president.
He always loved taking pictures and received a Certificate of Photography from the University of South Alabama, winning awards in a Week’s Bay photography contest. His other interests included antiques and cars. He participated in Mustangs Across America, driving his Mustang Cobra from Las Vegas to Birmingham.
Henry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jean Ross Moncrief. He is also survived by his son William Ross Moncrief (partner Amanda Stokes) of Whitefish, MT; sisters Clare Bowen (Danny) of New Orleans, LA, Linda Long (Jack) of Fitzpatrick, AL. He is also survived by nephews Brendan & Patrick Bowen and niece Jane Estrada and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home & Cemetery at 2:00pm on Friday Aug. 19 with visitation beginning at 1:00pm. Rev. Shaun Kaulfers officiating and music by Steve Ellisor.
