Helen Epperson Blan

Mrs. Helen Epperson Blan, age 93, passed away at her home on Thursday, December 15, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene N. Blan, Sr., parents, Roy and Helen Epperson, mother and father-in-law, William C. and Frances C. Blan, four sisters, 1 brother, 7 sisters/brothers-in law. Mrs. Blan was a graduate of Murphy High School. She was employed as a secretary for many years with Brookley Air Field, Palmer/Pillars Law Firm, Thanes Pecan Company, Ollinger Construction Co., Dr. Shepherd Jerome, SABC Nursery and Hallmark Cards. She was assistant librarian and librarian at her church, was a nursery worker and held many Associational Meetings @ SABC for forty years. Mrs. Blan is survived by her children; Sharon Blan, Jerry Blan (Glenna) and Rusty Blan (Kathryn). She is also survived by her six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Chapel services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children Hospital or charity of your choice.
