Ms. Hazel Ruth McGhee, age 85, resident of Mobile, AL, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 7, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd C. and Ludie Mae Smith.

Ms. McGhee retired after over 40 years with the Circuit Court Criminal Division of Mobile County. She was a longtime member of Springhill Avenue United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She loved to travel and treasured her time with her family.

Ms. McGhee is survived by her children; Donna McGhee Dodson, David Lee McGhee (Wanda), Darcy Lane McGhee (Lisa) and Darice McGhee LeCroy (Bob). She is also survived by her grandchildren; Dara Dodson Cook (Darin), Maureen Dodson, Jason McGhee, Janie McGhee, Jacob McGhee, Samuel McGhee, Noah McGhee, Elise McGhee, Drew LeCroy (Sara), Clare LeCroy and great-grandchildren; Haley Cook, Caitlyn Cook, Halston Griffin, Luke LeCroy, Owen LeCroy and Liam LeCroy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Pine Crest Funeral Home beginning at 9:00 a.m. with funeral services in the funeral home chapel beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
