Judith Rouse Phillips, and his parents.
If Mr. Phillips was anything, he was a provider and protector. He worked as a sheet metal mechanic for
ACE Fabrication for over 40 years and also served as a paratrooper in the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division.
Mr. Phillips loved art and adventure! He was an expert sketch artist and painter, and an excellent wood
carver which he enjoyed with the Delta Wood Carvers. Frank loved adventurous fun, especially on the
water. He surfed, raced Hobie Cats, and spent much of his retirement years out on his own sailboat. When
he wasn’t on the water he was flying his radio controlled airplanes with his friends at Azalea City Model
Aeronautics or being Santa at innumerable venues. Mr. Phillips was a mason with Bowen Lodge 240.
Mr. Phillips’ greatest attribute was his faithfulness to his family. He enjoyed 49 years of marriage to his
wife and sweetheart, Judy, whom he treasured deeply; and lovingly and sacrificially devoted himself to
raising his four children and 7 grandchildren.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his children, Jeff Phillips (Charity), Morgan Woodard (Seth), Lydia Bru
(Robbie), and Miles Phillips; and his 7 grandchildren, Hannah, Nathan, Kara, Paige, Claire, Lyla and Mae.
