Frances Juanita Jones

Frances Juanita Jones, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 26, 2022. She was born to Horace and Thelma Hudson on June 20, 1931 in Covington County, Alabama. Frances loved to sew – and after her boys were old enough she took a job with Valmode, where she worked for eight years. She was an adoring mother and grandmother, and dedicated her life to her family and the Lord. Frances was a member of Lafitte Baptist Church in Saraland. She was a very active church member throughout her life, and loved her Sunday School Class. Frances was a kind, generous, and sweet woman, and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Junior Franklin Jones; and one brother, W. J. Hudson.

Frances is survived by her three sons, Craig (Billy Jean) Jones, Tony Jones, and Jimmy Jones; four grandchildren, Melissa Hanes, Matthew (Mari) Jones, Jennifer (Brandon) Neely, and Heather (Brad) Jones; five great-grandchildren, Kolby, Gaige, Marley, Tatum, and Samuel; two brothers, Rufus (Lynn) Hudson and Ray Hudson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.

Visitation for Frances will be on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
