It was another former neighbor of mine on Batre Lane, Rosemary Primeaux, who originally let me know that Fannie Taylor passed away.  Rosemary passed away April 1, 2016.  I remember also the many other familiar supportive friendly families who lived on Batre Lane and nearby intersection streets.  Fannie was so loving and friendly!  Fannie and Rosemary came over together to wish my father consolation when his wife/my mom died.  I miss my neighbor family friends and keep them in memorial prayers often.  As Fannie’s fifth year anniversary of joining her husband Bruce in the eternal blessing of Heaven approaches I wish her surviving family and friends my sympathies for her passing away, and thanksgiving this truly gracious woman was a part of all our lives.  

Fannie Taylor and her husband Bruce were our next door neighbors on Batre Lane in Mobile AL when I was growing up.  The Taylors were great neighbors, and they became longtime family friends of my late parents, then I kept up corresponding with Fannie well into my adulthood.  When I see the photo of Fannie connected with this obituary, that is the light and heart of the family friend I've known since I was a little girl!  I'm saddened to hear of Fannie's passing.  But at the same time heartened that at Easter season she is with the Lord and her loved ones, including Bruce, and so glad for the joy of having known her. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were my family's next door neighbors on Batre Lane in Mobile AL, and I have known them both as neighbors and family friends since my childhood.  Mrs. Taylor and I kept up our neighborly friendship in correspondence well into my adult years, even through to present day.  I'm so sad to hear Mrs. Taylor has passed away.  She was always a gracious, kind lady.  Mrs. Taylor was so caring and thoughtful when my parents each passed away, that caring meant a lot to my father after my mother passed away, and to me when my father passed away.  I've kept Mrs. Taylor in my prayers for many years.  Fannie will be missed but will always be cherished.  God bless her family, friends, and those she knew at church and the Batre Lane neighborhood and console them in this loss.  --Carol Segner Koster

I HAD THE PRIVILEDGE OF KNOWING FANNY FROM THE 8:20 SERVICE AT DAUPHIN WAY AND GETTING TO SING ESPECIALLY TO HER SOMETIMES WHEN I DID A SOLO. THERE IS A EXTRA SPECIAL SONG IN MY HEART FOR HAVING KNOWN HER AND BEING A FRIEND TO HER DURING THAT SERVICE. SHE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL.

Fannie Claude was the Matron of Honor at my parents, Charlie Nell & Robert Johnson's wedding!  She & Bruce remained our dear friends/like family. She got to know my daughter & my sister's,too.  We will miss Fannie C.!

As the world waves a final goodbye to you today, I am remembering you with a heart full of love and admiration.  It was a privilege to know you in this lifetime and a blessing to call you my friend.  I'll miss you.

Mrs. Taylor was a very special lady.  She will be missed by so many people.  My prayers are with her family at this very sad time.

Mrs. Taylor taught me, Lajean Hammond Matthews, and my twin brother, Kenneth Hammond, in 6th grade, 8th grade English, 10th grade Algebra, and study hall at Valley Head High School in Valley Head, Alabama.  She was a wonderful teacher who lead us well for seven years of our lives. 1942 - 1949
