Everett Phillip Parrish

Mr. Parrish was born to Arlie and Vina Parrish in Rockingham, NC on January 2, 1929. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1948, from which he eventually retired as a highly commended and highly decorated Technical Sergeant. After moving to Mobile, AL, Mr. Parrish went on to work for ALDOT for 25 years before full retirement. He was an absolutely wonderful person. He enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Everett went on to join his wife of 58 years, Veneta C. Parrish, and was also preceded in death by his parents, Arlie and Vina Parrish as well as his brother, Bo Parrish.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna (Roy) Pittman; two grandsons, Philip Nettles and Jordan (Codi) Nettles; one great-grandson, Jude; a brother, William F. (Sue) Parrish; two sisters, Aileane Reed and Bobby Davis; longtime bestfriend, Walter Hall; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished family members.

Visitation for Mr. Parrish will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2017, from 12-2 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a Chapel Service immediately following. Interment will be held in Pine Crest Cemetery West on Snow Road.
