Evelyn “Rita” Marie Callegari Saucier, 68, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018. Visitation will be on Friday, July 13th, 2018 from 11am to 12pm at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile followed by a service in the chapel. Burial will be in D’Iberville Memorial Park Cemetery located at 11041 Gorenflo Rd, D’Iberville, Mississippi.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Merrick Joseph Callegari Sr. and Evelyn Agnes Lacombe Callegari, and by her beloved son Chad Scott Saucier. Rita was also lovingly known as Kakki to her grandchildren and is survived by her daughters, Jacy Bindon (Michael) and Kori Crawley (Judson) and her adoring grandchildren Mia Bindon, Ava Bindon, Chad Bindon, Piper Bindon and Carson Crawley as well as her siblings Terral Callegari (Beverly), Ora Lee Callegari Taranto (Jerry), Johnny Callegari, Merrick Callegari Jr. (Cathy), and Wanda Callegari Bradshaw.
Rita was born in Biloxi, Mississippi and was a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama where she raised her three children. After her son died in 1993, Rita became an strong advocate against hazing at colleges across the country. Rita loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved big and was adored by her friends and family. She had a great sense of humor and an even better laugh that was contagious. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, and she loved spending time with them.
