Elsie Ruth Barnhill

Elsie was the eldest of 8 children. She was born on November 5, 1954 in Mobile, Alabama to Raymond Eugene and Mary Lula Cash

She married Roy Farrell Barnhill Jr on February 21, 1973 in Andalusia, Alabama. They owned and operated Barnhill Sanitation for over 40 years. They were blessed with 2 children. 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Elsie was of the Catholic faith and a member of St Joan of Arc Catholic Church. She enjoyed singing, dancing, spending time with her family and in her spare time she never missed an episode of Days of our Lives. She believed in hard work, being responsible, and humble.

Elsie is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Roy Farrell Barnhill Jr, her son Roy Ferrell Barnhill lll, daughter Regina (Greg) Wood, Grandchildren Sierra (Cody) Smith, Savannah Wood, Cheyenne Wood, Quentin Wood, Skylar Wood, Levi Barnhill , great-grandchildren Bentley Barnhill, Brantley Barnhill Caroline Barnhill, Noah Barnhill, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and many more family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond Eugene and Mary Lula Cash Sr, brother Raymond Eugene “Bud” Cash Jr, grandsons Travis Noel Barnhill, and Troy Farrell Barnhill.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Mobile on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home chapel on Saturday, December 17, 2022 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Pine Crest West Cemetery.
