A graveside service will occur Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Wilmer Cemetery.
She graduated from Wilmer High School and Livingston University and received her Masters in Education from Southern Mississippi University. Her professional career included a position with Mobile Public Library, classroom teacher in Mobile County elementary schools, and principal of Wilmer Elementary School for many years. She also owned a used bookstore with several close friends.
She generously devoted her time and talent to the music program of Wilmer United Methodist Church for many years, where her outstanding soprano voice enriched worship and special occasions.
She loved reading, travel, and her family, as well as time spent with friends, relatives, and a good book at her home in Gulf Shores.
She is survived by two sons, Jeff and Mark and his wife Lisa, two daughters, Ginny and her husband Chad Dufrene, Linde Crowe; and her brother Ray McAdams; grandchildren, Amber Morgan, Austin Lassiter, Stephanie Crowe, Joshua and Kayla Crowe, Mel and Stacy Gipson; and eight great-grandchildren.
Her parents, Warren McAdams and Edna Earle Tully McAdams, precede her in death.
