Edwina Williams Dunlavy, 94, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019 in Mobile, AL. She was born February 22, 1925 in Chatham, AL to Daniel and Alma Williams. Edwina graduated from Fruitdale High School. She had been married to her husband Jack Dunlavy for 70 years. She was a very generous soul, and spent a lot of her life doing for others. Edwina was preceded in death by her daughter, Jacqueline Dunlavy Poe. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Dunlavy Miller; sisters, Barbara Kohn and Bonnie Landrum; grandchildren: Jacob, Carter, and Coleman Miller; and four great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Comfort Care Hospice, staff, Dr. William Kleinschrodt, and the pharmaceutical staff at Winn-Dixie, 6300 Grelot Road – for their excellent care and kindness.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
