Edna Earle Noble Ketchum - Beloved Mother and our “Hero“, a native of Silas, Alabama and a resident of Prichard, Alabama for the past 86 years, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011, in her home surrounded by her six daughters. Her family celebrated her 100th birthday, June 15, 2011. Mrs. Ketchum was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, William Lewis (Bill) Ketchum. She is survived by her daughters and their families: Alice Ketchum Perkins of Montgomery, Alabama; Lillian Ketchum Butler of Mobile, Alabama; Claribel Ketchum Gentry and husband, Curtis Adrian Gentry, III (Buddy) of Freeport, Florida; Sue Ellen Ketchum of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Angela Ketchum Adams and husband, Herman James Adams of Abbeville, Louisiana; and Sarah Ketchum Englett and her husband, Michael Kelly Englett (Mickey) of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Eleven grandchildren: Ashley Butler-Gardner, Walter LaMar Allen, IV, Judy Jones Allen, William Lewis Allen, Curtis Adrian Gentry, IV and wife Gretchen Luke Gentry, Jeffrey Ketchum Gentry and wife Carmen Loredo Gentry, Gena Gentry Moran and husband, John Davis Moran, III, Sarah Adams Livingston and husband, James Craig Livingston, Allyson Adams Bonner and husband, Dr. Everett James Bonner, Jr., Barrett James Adams, Gregory Judson Englett and wife, Tiffany Peek Englett, and Rachel Englett Appleton and her husband, Richard Alfred Appleton. Seventeen great-grandchildren: Ashton Micheale’ Gardner, Walter Samuel Allen (Sam), Luke Wesley Allen, Emma Louise Gentry, Curtis Adrian Gentry,V (Cade), Erica Grace Gentry, Anna Kessler Moran, Abigail Marie Livingston, Leanne Adams Livingston, Ellen Craig Livingston, Everett James Bonner, III, Sarah Isabelle Bonner, Adeline Touchet Bonner, Jadyn Marie Englett, Tatum Kelly Englett, Coen Jack Englett, and Carson Parker Appleton. One great-great grandson: Orson Ryden Thompson. The family would like to give a special thanks to our friend, Cheryl LaMar. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Friday, August 12, 2011, 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with service immediately following. Interment and graveside service will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
