Edna Sasser Greene

Edna S. Greene, age 81, longtime resident of Mobile, Al passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 in Houston, Texas after a lengthy battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kiler and Violet Sasser, her husband Rev. Thomas E. Greene to whom she was married for 46 years, her son, Donald H. Greene and her grandson, Christopher Greene.

Edna retired from Laidlaw Contracting after 30 plus years of employment. She will be remembered by her family as a loving, Christian mother and grandmother who delighted in spending time with her family, especially on holidays. Her many passions included gardening, sewing, arts and crafts, reading and cooking for her family and friends. She was a faithful member through the years at both Myers Memorial Baptist Church and Moffett Road Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Ronald E. Greene (Karen)-Mobile, AL; David A. Greene-Cookeville, TN; and DeAnna G. Pace (John)-Cypress, TX. She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Ann Greene-Mobile, AL and her grandchildren, Amanda Tice, April Greene, Phillip Greene (Morgan), Brandi Coleman, Courtney Sullivan (Matthew), Stacey Greene, Paige Greene, Tyler Greene, Dylan Greene, Joshua Pace, Austin Pace, Hannah Pace and 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens, Mobile, AL.
