On Monday, November 27, Edgar (Ed) Noble passed away unexpectedly and left a huge hole in our hearts. Ed was a character. He was kind-hearted, witty, smarter than most, artistic, and full of delightful idiosyncrasies.
Ed grew up in Prichard during the fifties and sixties with his mother and father, Aubrey and Eloise Noble, his younger brother, Mark, and a huge group of relatives and friends. Ed loved music and
was a walking encyclopedia for 1960s rock and roll. If you needed to know when, why, or where a song was written or recorded, he could tell you.
Ed created a life of love with Charlene MacDonald Noble over the last thirty-five years. In 2009, they were immensely happy to bring Gage into their family and home. Ed was so proud of Gage’s
accomplishments and his artistic abilities. In addition, Ed played a major part in the lives of his nephews, Matt and Seth, and they shared many good times throughout the years. And on the MacDonald side,
nephews Xander, Allen, and Andrew were big Ed Noble fans. Ed showed a real interest in the ideas and activities of the young people in the family.
Our Ed was a genuine person who loved deeply. With an infectious laugh, he was the king of puns and one liners. Ed never met an animal or a beer he did not like. He is survived by his wife, Charlene, his son Gage, his nephews Matt (Abby, Ellie, Spencer) and Seth (Melissa), his sister-in -law, Linda, the MacDonald clan, the Ketchum cousins, and many others. Our world was a funnier, quirkier, and more caring place with Ed in it. We will hold him in our hearts forever.
The family cordially invites friends to join for a Celebration of Life at Radney Funeral Home on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 p.m., 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama.
